Cambridgeshire County Council are moving out of Shire Hall, leasing it out with associated buildings. This puts local access under threat:

  • Castle Mound for relaxation and enjoyment
  • Magrath Avenue to Huntingdon Road/Castle Street path

Labour Councillors are leading the campaign to preserve public access:

  • Working for Castle Mound to be declared a Town Green to ensure public access in perpetuity
  • Petitioning the County Council to work with Trinity College to ensure the path from Magrath Avenue to Castle Street remains open — sign at tinyurl.com/rzdwv8d

Please make a statement of your use of Castle Mound and the grassed forecourt over the years and contact us (see over).  More details at tinyurl.com/tqzckar
