I’m Jocelynne Scutt and I’ve lived in North Cambridge since 2013. I’m proud to stand for election in Arbury on 7 May. My goal is to champion our community, work closely with residents to understand the most important issues in the ward and deliver real results for you.
My priorities for Arbury are:
- Build strong communities. Strengthening our community, protecting green spaces, and tackling anti-social behaviour. Protecting our local traders, and working with residents.
- High quality homes for all. Continue building a new generation of council homes, reducing waiting lists, tackling rough sleeping and addressing cost of living pressures.
- Ensuring residents’ voice is heard in the Arbury Court redevelopment. This project renewing council homes and public spaces will shape our area, so your views must be front and centre.
Arbury is a wonderful community, and I’d be honoured to help preserve its character for everyone. As a councillor from 2017 to 2021, I worked hard with residents on the Histon Road Project and acted on your concerns. Installing bins, fixing potholes, planting more trees, getting police action on drug-dealing interfering with public health. I want to continue this work as your City Councillor.
I have been speaking out at Cambridge Council cabinet and committee meetings, stressing the importance of listening to residents and addressing your concerns. I’m knocking on doors talking to residents in the community every week so I can represent you fairly and strongly.
I want to continue to work with you to address other local issues and secure improvements that can benefit our local community and make Arbury an even better place to live.
For a fair future in Cambridge, we need to build more environmentally friendly council homes and build strong local communities. That's what I'm fighting for here in Arbury. - Jocelynne Scutt
