I have lived in Cambridge for 35 years. I have represented King’s Hedges for the last 11 years and I am standing for re-election on 7 May because I care passionately about King’s Hedges and I want it to remain a great place to live, work and raise a family.
My priorities for King’s Hedges:
- Build communities, not just homes. Tackle anti-social behaviour, reduce inequalities, champion local communities, build new community facilities and green spaces in Cambridge.
- Cambridge homes for Cambridge residents. Continue building a new generation of council homes, support residents in need with housing and tackle rough sleeping.
- Good public transport for everyone. Fighting against the Tory mayor’s cuts to bus services. Making sure all families can benefit from Labour’s Tiger Bus Pass with £1 fare for under-25s.
I have a proud record of looking after community spaces in King’s Hedges, including installing improvements on Arbury Town Park so it remains accessible to the local community into the future, and rebuilding the Pulley play area after it was burned down.
I personally secured the gates of the old Jenny Wren site after they were damaged, installed new bins on Milton Road, and secured more community facilities at Campkin Road and the Meadows.
Together we have made a real difference to King’s Hedges, but there is more we can do to make King’s Hedges even better. Please get in touch with me using the contact details above or fill in my community survey to let me know how I can help.
