I have just left the Labour Party Conference and am now on a train from Brighton to London. As one of the 75 MPs and Peers who brought the original case against the Prime Minister, I am heartened that the Supreme Court has upheld our case and the constitutional rights of parliamentarians to represent our constituents. Make no mistake, this is an historic ruling by the supreme court who found that the Prime Minister acted “unlawfully”. Those who break the law are not fit to make the law. I also believe it shows Jeremy Corbyn was absolutely right not to trust Boris Johnson and fall for his trick earlier this month of an election. That would have left Johnson as Prime Minister able to crash us out of the EU. There is a proven liar in Number 10 and I look forward to his removal soon. Now I will get straight down to work in Westminster to ensure there is absolutely no opportunity left for Mr Johnson to allow Britain to crash out of the EU without a deal. Mr Johnson hates Parliamentary scrutiny, but MPs can now hold all his decisions up to the light once again. Best wishes, Daniel |
