After 6 years of campaigning by Labour Councillors and local residents for better buses on Milton Road, it is great to see that instead of 3 buses an hour there are now 3 different services and 8 an hour at stops. Please let us know what you think about the services.
Implementing measures to allow social distancing and encourage walking and cycling is a bit more mixed.
Paint on Chesterton Road so we have cycles lanes on both sides of the road from Mitcham’s Corner to Elizabeth Way is a positive. There also seems to be support for the measures in Carlyle Road to prioritise cycling.
Views on other measures which are proposed such as closing Arbury Road at Leys Road and buses only from Gilbert Road down to Mitcham’s Corner are more mixed. What are your thoughts? Please let us know.
